    Responsibilities

    • Design, develop, integrate third party components, test, install and support programs/systems.
    • Analyze technical and functional requirements and translate them into software solutions. Understand dependencies toward other systems and teams.
    • Conduct technical design and code reviews and walkthroughs with various teams.
    • Evaluate and recommend technical feasibility and cost estimates of the proposed solutions.
    • Prepare installation and operating procedures.
    • Provide technical assistance to colleagues and assist in resolving problems reported by other team members.
    • Develop and maintain technical documentation.
    • Supporting the delivered software and being part of a 'Center of Expertise' problem solving team.
    • Analyze support cases and, when appropriate,provide solutions following the established case management processes.
    • Understand, debug and solve complex software issues related to performance, configuration, etc.
    • Work with the COTS vendor to articulate problems and facilitate solution discussions.

    Qualifications

    • University degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent discipline.
    • 7+ years of experience in database related technologies RDBMS or NoSQL databases. Minimum 2 years in a lead role.
    • 3 - 5 years of experience with Cassandra, DataStax, Java, Spark, Solr.
    • Ability to create data models for Cassandra and familiarity with data modeling best practices.
    • In depth knowledge of Cassandra read/write paths, replication factor and internal architecture.
    • Experience in installing, configuring and monitoring DataStax Cassandra cluster.
    • Experience with administration tools sstableloader, sstable2json, json2sstable, copy, etc. for application data loading and analysis.
    • Experience with RHEL operating system and bash/shell scripting. RedHat Linux certification is a plus.
    • Knowledge of distributed transactions principles and concepts.
    • Adaptability and responsiveness to change.
    • Self-starter who is driven and can work independently.
    • Take accountability for delivering results.
    • Good team player and strong communication skills.
    • Agile mindset and be able to work in a fast paced environment.
    • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
