    SWIFT R&D is responsible for driving academic research, identifying new technologies and eco-systems relevant to the SWIFT community, building use cases and defining new technology applications within both SWIFT product development strategies and industry context.

    SWIFT R&D operates company-wide, sparking innovation across all business lines, including the entire SWIFT product portfolio and underlying platform in order to support the company’s strategic goals and priorities.

    The SWIFTLab is a physical discovery zone allowing employees and customers to interact with demos, learn more about current and future SWIFT R&D initiatives as well as the latest industry and technology trends. A highly collaborative environment, the SWIFTLab has a presence in the company’s main sales offices in Brussels, London, Paris, Frankfurt, New York City, Miami and Hong Kong. The R&D team also showcases Proof of Concepts at major industry events, including SIBOS, SWIFT Business Forums, SOFE, and more.

    SWIFT is looking for an enthusiastic, forward-thinking and dynamic individual with experience working in innovation teams or startup accelerators to join our team to coordinate and drive SWIFT’s R&D program.


    • Partner with Head of Innovation Strategy to develop the program plan, and then own the overall responsibility for the successful execution of the program.


    • Ensure program is following best practices and executing upon innovation strategy delivering the best possible experience.


    • Own the overall logistics and programming, including calendar management (stakeholders, speakers, and events).


    • Develop and track quality, operational execution and success metrics.


    • Manage relationships and coordinate scheduling of speakers, stakeholders.


    • Share new best practices with the R&D team globally as you identify areas for innovation and improvement.


    • Engage with all staff, managers, and executives to ensure the successful execution of the program.


    • Represent SWIFT R&D in local community, both actively and passively.


    • Service the SWIFT network: mentor and assist new joiners, work on strategic initiatives, and develop meaningful and beneficial relationships across the SWIFT ecosystem.





    • 2-5 years of experience with a focus on business operations, project or program management.


    • Strong interest in the discourse around financial technology, startups, entrepreneurship, academic research, agile workplaces.


    • Proven attention to detail through prior work or life experience.


    • Experience in event planning and event logistics.


    • Comfortable with a variety of responsibilities – we're lean so we all have to roll up our sleeves!


    • Fits the SWIFT culture (people-oriented, adaptable, supportive, and creative).


    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
    • Comfortable with travelling frequently.
