As a Data Engineer you will be responsible to manage our Data roadmap and infrastructure. This covers monitoring the infrastructure, upgrading the platform to stay up to date, design and development of new solutions (like APIs) and evolving the architecture of the platform.
The following items are crucial in this:
Drive and participate in the design and delivery of future proof solutions:
You collaborate with the business to come to a good design and architecture
You follow up the latest releases of Microstrategy and are responsible for the planning and implementation of upgrades and patching
You set up pro-active monitoring of the platform and are the primary contact for everything related to Microstrategy
You provide support to the team and to internal customers, and give coaching and guidance to other team members for resolving problems
Collaborate to the agile culture:
You are always looking for continuous improvement. You challenge the status quo and automate as much as possible
You document and share knowledge about developments and challenges and communicate lessons learned and best practices
You take full ownership and drive developments from design to the go live in production with help of the team

You possess the following skills and competences:
Master or bachelor degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent through experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in working with Microstrategy or similar
Good proficiency in English
Good knowledge of Linux and of one or more scripting languages: Perl, Python, shell,…
Good knowledge of Java
Good knowledge of SQL
Good understanding of security principles and concepts
You are well organized and structured
You are a team player and are able to work independently
