SWIFT's Financial Crime Compliance Professional Services team is hiring a Business Consultant for Sanctions Testing and other Financial Crime Compliance consulting services. Located in London or Farnborough (other locations will be considered), to join the Financial Crime Compliance team of consultants. We are looking for talented individuals to join the professional services team with a unique blend of business acumen, project management as well as technical and analytical skills to help our customers succeed and ensure the successfully delivery of projects. The role will involve managing on-boarding of new customers to our cloud based Sanctions Testing service, as well as expert consulting service projects related to AML, sanctions and PEP screening.
Projects are typically between 3 - 6 months in duration and may involve a small team of 2 or 3 technical and business consultants from SWIFT. With the relevant training and support from our experienced consultants you will ultimately take sole responsibility for the management and delivery of the consulting projects. You will need to be able to understand customers requirements, help them to solve problems and produce high quality project deliverables. You will be involved in requirements gathering, delivery of system configuration, training, documentation, analysis and presentation of results, as well as managing the relationship with the project team from the client - which may include technical and non-technical users, senior managers and executives.
We need people that are excellent communicators (written and verbal) and can ideally demonstrate their experience and successful track record managing multiple concurrent software implementation projects (or similar type of project). Also important is the ability to build relationships and trust with our clients and partners. Projects will be at the largest financial organizations around the globe, and the role will involve travel both within the UK and internationally.
The ideal candidate requires:
1-3 years or more experience working for a software company as a professional services consultant (or similar role)
Experience working on projects either IT implementation projects or consulting projects which demonstrate your problem solving capabilities
Great organisational skills and the desire to lead and project manage consulting engagements
Strong client facing skills, presenting and training technical and non-technical people
Demonstrated problem solving skills through academic studies, programming, scripting or similar
Experience of MS Office and Windows, in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
Willingness to travel, including within Europe, Middle East and Africa
In addition, the following would be beneficial:
Knowledge of financial crime, sanctions or AML
Technical skills e.g. data processing, programming, scripting, SQL etc.
Understanding of data file processing, data analysis or business intelligence
Been educated to degree level (preferably Computer Science, Math’s or related)
French/German or other European language, other languages e.g. Russian/Chinese
