    Within the Production Operations division, the Deployment Planning and Coordination (DP&C) team is responsible for owning the project planning and coordination of all phases and activities involved in the release of systems, software and infrastructure into the SWIFT Production environment. The team provides project management oversight from early deployment specification and oversees projects through closeout for planning and coordination, reporting, forecasting, and implementation. We are looking for an candidates to join the team in the open position of Deployment Coordinator in the US.

    Responsibilities

    A person in this role will assist in multiple functions related to planning and coordination of projects handling all facets of the life cycle to ensure successful deployments in the Production environments.

     

    This role facilitates project-related meetings and working with virtual teams, develops the deployment strategy and Deployment Plan based on input from multiple stakeholders within various portfolio teams. A primary deliverable of this role is to identify and document scope, schedule, priorities, conflicts, dependencies, risks and risk mitigation for the entire Production Operations deployment life-cycle.

     

    This position requires a strong collaboration with numerous SWIFT business units in order to ensure a smooth and effective delivery of technology solutions based on business requirements.

    • Responsible for scheduling, coordination, support, communication and end-to-end oversight of deployments in the Production environment
    • Manage the overall project site and data within Production Operations.
    • Support and advice on schedule performance, forecasts, risks, tracking, analyzing and reporting project schedule data.
    • Responsible for project reporting to include preparing necessary status reports, preparing project data for project meetings, and ensuring timely collection and interpretation of schedule data within the project database. Inform, network and interface with all relevant parties on a needs-basis ensuring they are aware of project progress.
    • Ensures that issues and risks are identified, understood, and managed in a manner that mitigates risk to scope and schedule, and take corrective actions to resolve cross-departmental conflicts.
    • Responsible for working with the project team and creating the detailed deployment strategy and Deployment Plan and send refreshed information for assigned deployments to the project team and key stakeholders on a recurring basis.
    • Where necessary, facilitate design and planning sessions, and coordinate with teams to ensure ongoing progress toward scheduled deliverables. When needed, facilitate "Go/NoGo" discussions with appropriate stakeholders. 
    • Lead virtual teams in developing needed presentations for project leadership to present technology options, as well as recommendations for risk mitigations and phased release plans.
    • Provide ongoing assistance with delivery of project artefacts, as required by the Project Management Office in order to satisfy standard audit controls.
    • As assigned, participate in planning of periodic Service Continuity / Disaster Recovery exercises to test the DR capabilities with respect to secondary systems and sites.
    • Work closely with the SWIFT Security teams to understand and implement required security controls and provide documentation for security risk assessments.
    • Contribute to improving the project management methodology by sharing lessons learned.
    • Promote project management best practices within the team and with others outside of our team.
    • Work closely with Change and Configuration Management team to stay current on all change, configuration and internal controls standards and processes. Will provide feedback on ways to improve relevant processes and procedures.

    Qualifications

    • University degree in IT or Project Management discipline, or equivalent combination of qualification and experience. 
    • 3-8 years relevant Project Management (Support) experience within the IT area, or in an area of similar complexity. 
    • Good understanding of official Project Management methodologies like PMI, ITIL and Prince2. 
    • Experience dealing with distributed teams where contributing teams are located in various continents and time-zones.
    • Relevant experience in implementing highly scalable, high-performance secure data-center focused applications is preferable.
    • Excellent communication, planning and stakeholder management skills with strong attention to detail.
