    The Operations Division within SWIFT is seeking a Communications Specialist to lead the planning and execution of effective communication across Operations and external to the division on behalf of Operations. This person will work directly with the Chief Operations Officer, his Assistant and the Operations Management team on Operations divisional communications and events.


    Your responsibility will be to:

    • Build, maintain and drive the execution of the Operations Communications Plan
    • Plan, design, draft and stakeholder content for Operations communications using a wide range of communication styles and channels
    • Devise new, creative forms of communication and concepts to increase management-employee connections, maintain overall staff engagement, focus on specific culture related topics, etc.
    • Draft, write and revise required texts and ensure review for accuracy by internal stakeholders for Operations input to company meeting material, SWIFT annual report, SWIFT Operating Plan, etc.
    • Own the publication of Operations specific Planet SWIFT articles and promote the Operations specific Chatter groups and other communication channels
    • Organize Operations events from concept through delivery including Town Halls, Operations Days, Team Building events, etc. This includes preparing and stakeholdering the content
    • Maintain a broad view of the Operations organization, functions and locations

    • University degree in Marketing, communications, journalism, or a related subject
    • Professional experience in a communications type role or where communications was a significant component of the role
    • Self-starter who can work independently and manage multiple priorities
    • Proactive, willing to take accountability, with a “Can do” attitude
    • Ability to execute insightful communication strategies
    • Ability to work cross-culturally and with senior management
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Passionate about and genuinely enjoys crafting a story, massaging a message with attention to detail in a variety of methods (e.g., written, presentation or other)
    • Write clearly and compellingly in a variety of voices to a range of different audiences
    • Native or near-native in English (both spoken and written)
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications - Knowledge of publication and graphical editing packages (i.e. Adobe InDesign, Photoshop) and HTML and PDF editing packages a plus
    • Willing to travel
