    As part of Marketing, the "Cloud and Interfaces" team defines our interface and integration offering, which today includes Alliance Access, Alliance Messaging Hub, Alliance Cloud, and our Integration suite. With the changing landscape in the financial sector, we have transformational times ahead. Are you the dynamic and talented product manager that wants to bring that transformation with us?


    For this function we are looking for someone motivated product manager for Alliance Messaging Hub, our premium messaging system. You will need to work on defining value adding features and functions on top of the platform. While the platform adopts new technologies opening up the architecture and making it more powerful in cloud environments, you will need to analyse which functional blocks could be added to the set of existing components. This could be components to connect to other networks, specific functions to add intelligence to the system, etc. … the orchestration engine and BPM tools of the platform will connect these functions together enhancing our first-class messaging system. Apart from working in a large product management and marketing team, you will be working with stakeholders in SWIFT in IT, testing, professional services, pre-sales and sales to set the priorities and refine the requirements. Listing out your responsibilities, you will be

    • Working with product and marketing colleagues to set the product priorities in an Agile fashion.
    • Analysing the market, visiting customers and working with our competitive intelligence team and sales teams to understand the market and our competition.
    • Collaborating with IT, professional services and sales teams to define the roadmap and to refine the requirements into solutions.
    • Interacting with the regional teams across the globe to understand their needs and their customers’ demands when using the product.
    • Analysing the market needs and competitions, seeking for components and features to add to the platform.
    • Organising User Group Meetings and customer meetings to directly enquire on their experience with the product and discuss improvements for the future.
    • Participating to SWIFT events, to increase your view on the financial services industry and to participate in discussions and into client meetings and to position our product.
    • Performing continuous improvement on our marketing material, such as the customer presentation and sales training master decks, including writing case studies and recording customer testimonials.




    In this position we are looking for a Product Manager who has good mix of customer understanding and technological savvy:

    • Good understanding of concepts in the space of message orchestration, BPM, Cloud and API’s in the banking industry.
    • Good understanding of banking operations, particularly but not limited to the processing of cross-border payments, RTGS systems and real-time payments.
    • A solid technical background with software systems in the financial services industry, either through operation in the bank or through projects integrating into the bank.
    • Experience in other financial services messaging hubs and / or in the Enterprise Service Bus space.
    • Strong writing skills to express requirements in fluent English.
    • Fluency in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a must.
    • Experience in the payment value chain, through experience at a financial institution, a PSP, a credit card company and/or payment "challenger" is an asset.
    • Experience with collaborative tools such as the Atlassian product suite (JIRA, Confluence, …) or similar is an asset.
    • Strong communication and speaking skills, allowing to report to senior management and participate in steering committees, mastering the nuanced art of expectation management with a positive forward-thinking attitude. In fluent English.
    • Experience working for a vendor for major financial institutions is an asset.
    • Experience with SWIFTNet interface products, messaging and message flows is a plus.
    • Agile experience is a plus.

    Education / experience



    • Master degree in Communication with extra schooling or experience in Information Technology, or
    • Master degree in Computure Science or Engineering with extra schooling or experience in Marketing or customer facing activities, or
    • Equivalent knowledge through experience.


    • At least 3 years’ experience in a product management role or (pre-)sales role in a the financial services "ESB" or "payment" space or,
    • At least 5 years’ experience in business analysis or consultancy in the financial services industry with a strong willingness to improve skills in marketing activities.
