    This role will work with our Procurement team in Manassas or Culpeper, VA.  Our team purchases primarily services in a commercial environment (not government).

    Key duties include the following:

    • Communicate with Internal Customers to understand their procurement need.


    • Source and compete alternative suppliers, evaluate proposals and negotiate terms.


    • Draft purchase requisitions.


    • Review and verify  commercial terms.


    • Identify and escalate contractual risks, ensure general terms and conditions.


    • Issue purchase orders.


    • Ensure contract documentation and retention.




    Key skills:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.


    • Proficiency with office tools, including Word, Outlook, Excel.


    • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.



    This is a temporary role that is expected to go through December, 2019 with the potential to be extended


    Bachelor’s degree – business or related preferred.

    Superior technical writing, communication and problem solving skills.

    5+ year’s relevant experience in general commercial procurement – NOT GOVERNMENT OR FAR – including procurement of: contractors; consulting and other professional services; construction and other milestone based contracts; agency services such as for cafeteria services and travel; hotel and event venue procurement.
