    TEST ENGINEER

    We are looking for a passionate and skilled Test Automation Engineer to join us to boost test effectiveness and accelerate our delivery flow.

     

    Based in our Manassas, VA or Culpeper, VA office you will be working alongside a dynamic team who are fully responsible for end to end delivery – from customer engagement to operations.

    What to expect

    • You will participate to the analysis, design, specification, development, benchmarking, and delivery of production software. While doing so, you use your knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design and promote good engineering practices, such as testability, accessibility, scalability and performance.
    • You will develop a wide variety of automated tests scenarios and integrate those in a continuous delivery workflow
    • You will contribute to the mainteinance of the testing infrastructure
    • You will contribute to the evolution of the testing framework .
    • You will have the opportunity to develop yourself and others in a true BizDevOps agile environment; engaging in the product evolution, covering software architecture, development, quality assurance, security, operations and IT infrastructure aspects.
    • You will work in a truly international environment with main hubs across three continents. We have global reach and impact but operate fast as we are a relatively small company.

    Technical skills & knowledge 

    • Foundation in programming, with strong analytical skills, competences in algorithms, and software design
    • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to Java, Python and Perl
    • Testing background with experience or knowledge of:
    • Testing methodology and/or risk management (ideally with a methodology certification (e.g. ISTQB, CAT)
    • Automated Testing tools and techniques (e.g. Robot Framework, Selenium, Jmeter)
    • Test Management Tools (e.g. Quality Center/AML)

     

    • Experience in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g. Oracle, Cassandra, MongoDB)
    • Knowledge of Linux OS, Windows and UNIX
    • Knowledge of Web and Application Servers (e.g. Apache Tomcat)
    • Knowledge of basic network trouble-shooting
    • Knowledge of continuous delivery process and technologies (e.g. Docker, Jenkins, Ansible).
