    Job summary - PR & Communications Specialist:

As Senior Communications Specialist in the Communications & Events team in EMEA, you will work in partnership with different Commercial and Expert teams in EMEA, as well as with global teams and marketing communications partners around the globe. You will have the opportunity to deepen all of your communications skills and work with business functions from every department. This role offers a real opportunity to take the lead in a vibrant and high growth region for SWIFT.

     

    Responsibilities

    This role has a regional aspect as well as a product/services dimension.

    Your responsibilities will be to:

    • Collaborate closely with the business and define communication strategies to support SWIFT’s customer engagement across our business in EMEA. As the communications partner for a sub-region, you will be expected to build a productive relationship with the head of that region;-
    • Develop and maintain communications strategies to increase brand awareness and positioning in targeted markets and customer segments; Project manage, execute and analyse EMEA promotional campaigns using a wide range of communications channels and tactics (including mainstream media, online and social media, and our Regional Conferences and Business Forums); -
    • Produce and manage multi-channel communications, including SWIFT-branded collateral (including brochures, videos), marketing campaigns and advertising; -
    • Draft, write and revise required texts (PR, thought leadership, case studies and other collateral) and ensure review for accuracy by internal stakeholders; - Oversee all aspects of the process in the region, including handling requests, liaising with agencies, reviewing content and publishing final content; -
    • Work closely with Corporate Affairs, Marketing and other Regional Communications colleagues globally to coordinate and roll-out global communications activities in EMEA; -
    • Handle the relevant coordination and administration with internal and external service providers; support the EMEA business teams with their requirements (internal procurement & finance; translation agency, production houses, media/PR agencies); prepare, plan and implement actions.

    Professional knowledge and expertise:

     

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Particularly - excellent writing skills: press releases, reports, thought leadership, blogs, news, features 
    • Solid experience in planning and organising, with the ability to focus on the task at hand and deliver on time 
    • Understanding of, and interest in developing, the full range of communications disciplines – from marketing communications, media, social, digital, events 
    • Ability to execute insightful communication strategies in line with corporate objectives
    • Understanding or experience of Corporate Affairs would be an advantage
    • Open-minded, solutions-oriented, flexible and a true team player 
    • Proactive, willing to take accountability, with a "Can do" attitude 
    • Ability to work cross-culturally and with senior management 
    • Multilingual skills: Native or near-native in English (both spoken and written) essential; ideally, fluency in at least one EMEA language; a good knowledge of additional languages is an asset . Russian would be particularly useful.
    • Willing to travel and take a flexible approach to the working environment 
    • Understanding of financial markets and SWIFT-related business areas an advantage 
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications 
    • Knowledge of publication and graphical editing packages (i.e. Adobe InDesign, Photoshop) and HTML and PDF editing packages a plus 
    • Education - University degree in Marketing, communications, journalism, or a related subject Experience 
    • or, strong experience in Communications, Marketing, Publications or relevant industry environment
